Zayana
How Zayana began
Zayana began in Prague in 2016 with a question asked over a kitchen table. Nadia Zayan had run a sleep clinic for eleven years and had watched patients improve for a week in her care, then lose it all on the drive home. Tomáš Hruška had spent twenty years running hotels and had watched guests arrive exhausted, eat and drink too much, and leave more tired than they came. The question was simple: could a hotel be the healthiest place a person spends a week?
They wrote the answer down before they had a building. Sleep first, because nothing else works without it. Food that is a pleasure first and a prescription never. Movement outdoors, every day, at any level. Time without a screen. Physicians in the house, but hospitality at the door. The four words that came out of that list – rest, nourish, move, reconnect – are still the method, and we still call it The Zayana Way.
The first house took three years to find and build. Azure Skies Resort opened above Lake Silvaplana in 2019, at 1,815 m, because altitude and cold do something to a body that no treatment room can. Aurora Bliss Hotel followed on the Akamas coast of Cyprus in 2021, for sea, light and families. Atlantis Haven Hotel opened on the Yulong River in 2024, the quietest of the three, with traditional Chinese medicine inside the Health Lab. A fourth house, Zayana Al Hajar Retreat in Oman, opens in 2027.
The lotus on our door is not decoration. It opens each morning and closes each night, whether anyone is watching or not. That rhythm – open, close, again tomorrow – is the whole idea.

A hotel should send you home in better shape than it found you. Everything else is decoration.
