A house built for sleep and strength

Opened 2019

At 1,815 m the air is thinner and the light harder. The body notices on the first night and adapts by the third — which is exactly what we use. The house is larch and stone, the rooms are 18 °C on request and no music plays anywhere. Piz Corvatsch stands opposite; the lake lies below the terrace, frozen in winter, turquoise in summer. You arrive tired and leave with a breath that reaches deeper.

A winter day at Azure Skies

A sample day for a guest without a programme. With one, a physician is added and the phone is taken away.

One day

  1. Breathwork on the terrace

Twenty minutes at minus eight, under a blanket. The lake below is only just waking.

  2. Breakfast at The Lotus Table

A grain bowl, an egg, mountain cheese, herb tea. Coffee too, of course.

  3. Corvatsch: ski or snowshoe

The shuttle takes five minutes. Come back when the silence up there stops being enough.

  4. Lunch

At The Lotus Table, or on the sun terrace when the weather allows.

  5. Alpine Stone Therapy

Eighty minutes of warm stones along the spine, a larch wall, dimmed light.

  6. Sauna hour with a lake view

The panoramic sauna, the snow room, the pool steaming into the dusk.

  7. The Velvet Dining Room

Seven courses of Alpine Season, a wine or an alcohol-free pairing, equally careful.

  8. Sleep ritual

Night tea, 18 °C, blackout. Lights out at 22:00, if you wish.

Questions guests ask

Is there a minimum stay?

Two nights; four for programmes. At altitude it pays: the first two nights the body is still adjusting.

Altitude with children or in pregnancy?

Up to 1,815 m most people are fine, but we take children from 12 and advise expectant mothers to consult a physician before travelling. Our physician is available daily 08:00–18:00.

Can I come without a programme?

Yes. Most guests come without one; the spa, The Lotus Table and the daily movement class are for everyone.

Can you handle dietary needs?

All of them, with 24 hours' notice: allergies, vegan and gluten-free, halal on request. An allergen sheet comes with every table.

Prayer and privacy?

We mark the Qibla in any room on request, and private spa hours can be booked. An Arabic-speaking concierge is arranged on request.

What happens 3–21 November?

The house closes for its annual care. Aurora Bliss in Cyprus stays open, and November there is usually around 20 °C.
